Maliki to Esawi: calling the institutions of the state and security forces as militias is indecent Friday, 21 December 2012 17:25 Shafaq News/ The Iraqi prime minister, Nuri Maliki criticized unnamed politicians of fabricating crisis, warning from using the "sectarian tone" to achieve political or personal goals. Malii said in a statement received by "Shafaq News" that "some politicians used to fabricate political crisis whenever any measure been taken place either it is judicial or non-judicial' adding that this is what happened when "a based on judicial order issued by the Iraqi tribunal, an Iraqi police force made its duty by arresting 10 members belong to the guarding crew of the finance minister, after checking their identity-cards and they are now in the tribunal's custody". Adding that in order to impose the law"sectarian tone" should be avoided which aimed at achieving political and personal goals. Iraqiya list announced on Thursday's evening the arresting of all of Finance ministry, Rafei al-Esawi's guards by a military force in Baghdad, holding the premier, Nuri al-Maliki as responsible for the action. |

Sahwa (iraqi Sunni army) gives 24 hours to Maliki http://www.nrttv.com/dreje.aspx?jimare=24605 Translation: After arresting 150 security guards of the iraqi finance minister Rafi Isawi by an armed group said to be related to Maliki's office, the leader of Sahwa armed forces of iraq gives 24 hours notice to Maliki. Ahmed Abu Risha, leader of Sawha in a statement gives Maliki 24 hours to apologize to the iraqi finance minister Rafi Isawi He also urges Maliki to release all of his security guards and he says if their demands are not met within 24 hours they will begin their own activities. Ahmed calls on Maliki to listen to their demands otherwise they will block the Iraqi Jordan road and borders and began an uprising against Maliki. Fakhr Taee, the Friday prayer of Falujah accused Maliki of targeting the Sunni leaders via "external agendas" and asked the Sunni politicians to withdraw from the government.

I read somewhere that close to 70-80% of the fighters in Libya were foreigners and that most of the same fighters there are now in Syria. In other words: They are moving from country to country. They could go to Iraq after Syria. |

Breaking news: Iraq arrest a prominent Baathist planning to form a military force called the free army "Jaish al-Hurr' Friday, 28 December 2012 12:20 Shafaq News/Iraqi authorities announced the arresting of a prominent Baath-affiliated man in Balad district of Salahuddin province on Friday, a high rank officer reported. The officer whom asked not to disclose his identity told "Shafaq News" that the member "was planning to assemble a military formation belong to al-Jaish al-Hurr –the free army in Nineveh and Salahuddin".
