Former head of Mossad in Kurdistan

Eliezer Geizi Tsafrir was the former head of Mossad stations in South Kurdistan, Iran and Lebanon. He is a former Shabak [Israeli secret service] and Mossad senior official, who also served as the prime minister’s adviser on Arab affairs. Since he retired, he has written at least three books in Hebrew — the first one is entitled, “Ana Kurdi (English: Iam Kurdish): War and Escape in Kurdistan.”

- "We trained Peshmerga for atleast 10 years, starting from a leader of a small group to a leader of a battalion"
- "Peshmerga is a very well organised army but it lacks armor, air support and reinforcements"
- "Kurds had never been so close to declaring their independence. The only thing left is an official declaration."

This is the leader of Mossad HQ behind Ankawa, the one I mentioned that many members exploded about when I said Mossad has a base there.

Btw, it's still restricted area, heavily guarded

Hopefully, because the IS Terrorists captures more and more military bases and weapons.

They captured a air base from Syrian army in Raqqa 2 days ago and now they have planes and helicopters.

But their very fast increasing number is more dangerous, now they have 50 thouasnd fighters in Syria and 30 thousand in Iraq and it increases day to day.

Kurdistan needs its own Arms industry, it can start with producing ammunition, then some day guns and later machine guns and so on, but it should start now so it can develop in the future.

Why not develop nukes? If we have nukes no one will dare bombing an inch of Kurdistan. They will give us unwanted Lands that we didn't even ask for.

Mossad is one of the world's most famous intelligence services, and is considered to be among the most competent. It is often likened to America's CIA and Britain's Secret Intelligence Service (MI6). Wow, I must admit that I wasn't aware of that Mossad operated in SK for so long. I didn't even know that they operated in so many countries.

I red on KRG´s Official Website, they denied that Mossad operated in SK.. ?? They even said that: "The government is not able to be quiet faced with these accusations anymore, so we confirm to the public there are no centers or offices of Israel in Kurdistan, and we deny this accusation." it´s of course not true, but they have be quit about that. Any thoughts, you guys?

Kurdistan is uranium rich ^^
Yes because all you need for an atomic bomb is uranium... And some aluminium for the casing and maybe some paint you know for the flag to avoid confussion.

Besides why don't we ask Turkey if maybe they can assist us in making the bomb. I think they will be positive to this idea. And Iran (who are struggling themselves with a bomb).

I actually hate it that these intelligence agencies are in Kurdistan. They will do the dirtiest thing to achieve their goals. CIA is also active in Kurdistan, they were more open about their presence than Mossad.

It is a promise Kurdistan won't be invaded in a long time as it is a strategic position and important for CIA and Mossad, but it also means cultural suicde!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thumbsdownthumbsdownthumbsdownthumbsdownthumbsdownthumbsdownthumbsdown

I love sarcasm too. But seriously, the main difficult component of an atomic bomb to acquire uranium and then modify to another isotope (difficult, takes time). The rest is easy, even new grad students can make a simple shell.

Most of these supports had to do with 4 facts: One we are tolerant towards other minorities, 2 we have a lot of oil and with Kirkuk added now we have gone on top of Libya in reserves...3 our boys fight like lions and has made the world think twice about not arming us...4 we are generally pro west..

Bram, all the respect to you and your goals in life. But building a nuke really isn't just a walk in the park.

Even if you manage to build a nuclear warhead, were would you place it? How would you secure it? Who would have access?

EVEN if you have solved aaaall of those issues look at India, Pakistan, Israel. All owners of primetime nukes, all drawn into shitfaced conflicts.

Having a nuke and using a nuke is two very different things. Could you imagine Kurdistan being attacked and then using nukes on other countries? What would happen to our support world wide?

If Kurdistan were to gain independence I think we need not worry about foreign invasion but rather groups like ISIS. Look at the world today; noone really invades each other anymore its all about proxywars.

Ukraine, ISIS, boko haram and many other rebelconflicts in africa, afghanistan, pakistan, india and so on. I think we would benefit much more from building an army much like the israelis rather then going for the big daddy-bomb.

Intelligence is everything, counter espionage is important and tactical units trained in urban warfare supported by air and armored troops is absolutely critical for our new soon-to-be nation!

Seven western states join US to arm South Kurdistan: Pentagon

WASHINGTON,— Seven western governments in addition to the United States have pledged to provide weapons and ammunition to Kurdistan's Peshmerga forces fighting Islamic State militants in Iraq, Pentagon chief Chuck Hagel said Tuesday.

"In addition to support from the US, and the central government of Iraq in Baghdad, seven additional nations -- Albania, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Italy, France, and the United Kingdom -- have committed to helping provide Kurdish forces urgently needed arms and equipment," Hagel said in a statement.

"Operations have already begun and will accelerate in the coming days with more nations also expected to contribute."

Albania and Britain have already started moving supplies to the Kurds, Pentagon spokesman Rear Admiral John Kirby told reporters.

"It's an effort that's really just starting," he said.

Kirby also said the United States had helped the Iraqi government transport some military supplies by air to the Kurdish Peshmerga forces in the autonomous South Kurdistan in the north.

The supplies to be delivered include ammunition for small arms, after Kurdish forces appealed for more weapons and equipment to take on the IS jihadists.

The US military has carried out air strikes against the IS militants since August 8, with most of the attacks taking place near Mosul dam in the north.

Peshmerga received weapons from US and France: minister

Peshmerga Affairs Minister Mustafa Seyyed Ghader said the Kurdistan Regional Government has received its weapons from France and the US and is waiting arms from Germany and Britain.

Speaking with Sky News, he added Erbil has received all kinds of weapons he had demanded from the states vowed support to the region to fight against the militants of the Islamic State (IS).

He went on to say that there are more than 150000 Peshmergas and are ordered to retake control of the regions they have lost and also advancing to other regions.

The Kurdish forces had withdrawn from their stances in disputed regions after a sweeping attack by the militants of the Islamic State.

Seyyed Ghader linked the withdrawal to lack of weapons and stated the situation of the war changed after helps from the US and France.

Kurdish Peshmerga Steps in to Protect the Oldest Monastery in Iraq

Posted Image

27.08.2014
Shahab Botani

After Islamic State (IS) militants took control of the city of Mosul in KRG, various religious minorities that pepper the region came under attack as well in the wake of IS’ spread of terror. Many holy sights revered by the religious minorities have been destroyed in order to wipe their existence from history.

One of the most important Christian holy sites in Iraq is Deir Mar Mattai, located 20 km from Mosul atop Mount Alfaf. The monastery, built in 363, is recognized as one of the oldest monasteries in existence.

Deir Mar Mattai is normally maintained by the Syriac Orthodox Churchm but due to the threat of attack by IS, Peshmerga have stepped in to protect the sacred sight.

Father Ada Khdir al-Qass lives and works at the monastery. “Since IS took control of Mosul, about 60 Christian families sought refuge here at the monastery. However, due to this renewed attack by IS, all of the families fled to Kurdistan,” said al-Qass.

He says they are confident that Peshmerga can protect them and the monastery, which contains a centuries-old library full of sacred Christian manuscripts.
