guys, it's not time to discuss who did what wrong, who did that etc. So with all due respect ****.

Hopefully Peshmerga and Barzani learns from this and after the areas have been taken back they will be on the offensive from now on

Rudaw said it is all lies, peshmerga is still in parts of Shengal and arab residents turned ISIS and invited them and for a major operation the town needs to be empty. Big force heading to Shengal. I dont know why PYD is spreading propaganda at this time.. what a shame..

Look guys this is what happened. Arab residents of Shengal and some villages around it turned ISIS, and when these filth turn ISIS they join them and those that don't let them use their properties as bases while they live there. So basically, KDP media had to create some chaos for the Kurdish residents to flee, but in fact Peshmerga is still in Shengal! now they're waiting for reinforcements to go on a major offensive, and for that to happen you can't have civilians around because they will target civilian homes. If you look at Jalawla for example, the town was still under ISIS control until all the civilians fled which allowed the Peshmerga to freely shell any part of the town! you can't operate tanks and shells on a town that has civilians in it!

The PYD went a twitter/facebook spree to make it look like all of Shengal fell and that they would need to defend it simply because of their own greed. They want to control Rabia and I find this to be a shameful act from their part. If anyone thinks Bashur will allow stradegic towns like Shengal, Rabia and Zumar to fall, then we might as well assume Hewlêr will fall too.

Peshmerga Forces Prepare for Major Offensive Against ISIL

03 Aug 2014

ERBIL, South Kurdistan - Ali Awni, an official from Kurdistan Democratic Party reveals to Rudaw that despite claims to the contrary, not all of Sinjar is under the effective control of the Islamic State, formerly known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

He said, "Peshmerga forces are stationed in one part of Sinjar, and are waiting for reinforcements to arrive". He also added,"A heavy force from Peshmerga under the leadership of Mansoor Barzani has arrived in the area, and in the next few hours will conduct a major offensive operation against ISIL to get rid of them in the area".

Anwar Haji Osman from the Ministry of Peshmerga briefly commented saying, "Peshmerga are planning an operating, and will have a big victory in the area soon. ISIL will have no choice but to leave this country, and they know this very well".

If Shingal city was under IS control, you wouldn't see YPG parading inside the city now would you?

So it seems to be as it was said. Not all of Shingal is under IS control.

That's not Shengal.

Look at this map, although it is heavily inaccurate for "ISIS recent gains" it seems ISIS is very active online to spread propaganda.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Iraqi_insurgency_detailed_map

Shengal is NOT even fully under their control for one thing, secound, from Shengal to Rojava it's quite a way and it is all still under Peshmerga control.

I already told you, it seems PYD will take any attempt to point to KDP weakness, and try to deviate attention away from Kobane. Twitter is full of "KDP RUN, PYD SAVE DAY" From PYD twitter accounts. Quite frankly, I find this to be a very shameful act from PYD and their associates.
