Theres no fight. Local sources and witnesses say that there are not more than 50 Isis fighters in the town. In a few hours the show is over and Jarablus will be under turkish control. The real battle will start after that when the turks and turkish supported terrorists will attack Manbij. |

Surely if the "FSA" attack the YPG that would de-legitimize them? Also who are these turkish backed rebels? Al-Nusra?

And guess what. They are targeting villages and the urban areas of Jarablus where Kurds reside. A few thousand civilians have reached SDF territory. I don't think I have a hate bigger than that I have of Turkey. This will eventually bite them super hard in the ass. |

Possibly (or as they like to call themselves; Jabhat Fateh al Sham). Sham legion seems to be on board as well. As far as I am aware, we don't have any reliable source for all groups involved in the fighting, but they sure as hell will include radical sunni extremists. |

I see why Assad and Turkey made such an agreement together. He has nothing to lose and everything to gain. We and this "rebel group" battle it out, either side that is victorious will come out weakened. Assad will just finish us off. Obviously it won't be that simple, but I just see it going like that. |

CNN Turk mentioned that a few US politicians and high ranked guys said the following thing: "YPG didnt listen to us. Thats why we ended our support for them". I thought it was a joke but then Ive seen that some pro Kurdish twitter accounts confirmed this statement. Biden visited Turkey today. Some higher ranked US officials who flied with him to Turkey apparently said it. Still have to wait for confirmation but I bet its true. |

On one hand they support an ultra-nationalist racist organization known as the 'Grey Wolves'. On another hand they support Salafist Islam, which is opposed to nationalism. They are confused. ![]() |

According to the rumor, they told YPG not to advance towards Jarablus. |

Its the typical turk. All racist but they hide it under mask of Islam. They would all burn the Quran and insult Allah in the first moment when someone promised them that it would harm Kurds if they did this. |

Wouldn't Turkey of let those rebels loose regardless of the advance? I actually see this as a good thing, even taking into account this information in regards to them not listening to the USA. Since the YPG would of most likely been in a worse position if they didn't advance. |

Just imagine. One country occupying another one with the help of Jihadists and no one cares. The stateless Kurds are the only who oppose it. Neither American side nor Russian show any negative reaction. We are living in a sick World.

It's official. Biden did make those comments. All the YPG had to do was allow KDP rojava peshmerga in, instead they over payed their hand and lost both Russian and American backing. |

On on my phone at work, google it.. Washingtonpost released an article. I thought the failed coup in Turkey will make the PKK see some sense, but as I always said with them it's either my way or the high way. I don't understand how they become so arrogant. One only has to study recent history.. It would have made much more sense to allow the KDP take that last strip of land.. As opposed to these Islamists... |

And then we would have had 2 armies and a very possible civil war incited by very own turkey, the stick has shit on both ends, so no matter what was done it would have led into shit either way, looks like YPG wasn't allowed to cross the Euphrates? bull I read US articles saying US was helping Rojava connect and cut all ISIS supplies, Turks played their cards right by offering Incirlik to Russian access looks like US has shit bricks over that statement... |

Alan stop allowing yourself to succumb to the mistakes made by the PKK out of baseless threats. The PKK is present in Bashur, where is this civil war? The delicate and dynamics politics of the region dictated a change in approach and that had to be a force that would have had at least a neutral reaction from Turkey, and that force would have been the KDP backed rojava peshmerga. Face the music, we have no control over the sick and twisted reactions of the Turks, but only of our own, and at that we failed. Full stop. |

Im not sure if YPG was actually advancing westwards after Minbij. In all honesty it seems YPG stopped around Al Bab. It seems the "YPG did not listen" is just an excuse. PKK PYD knows fully well that none of the factions would accept the connection of cantons. I smell bullshit excusea |

You will see, our position in Iraq will be compromised too now. Our inability to unite behind a common national goal has been historically the reason we are stateless, and all parties contribute to that. Barzanis face in the meeting with erdogan explains it all. |
