Sulaimani Palace Hotel was built in 1970 by a famous Kurdish engineer, Hasieb Salih. Since the hotel has hosted numerous VIP guests, ministers and high ranked government officials. * The hotel is built on 8000 square meters; located in the heart of the city with easy access to all major places in the city. * The hotel has 48 guestrooms, and 12 Suites with 2 luxury restaurants(Talar on the ground floor and Demin restaurant on the top floor, they both serve Persian, Italian and Lebanese cuisine. Russian Girenak Joseph, who visited Kirkuk in Kurdistan as a part of his tour throu the 1870 - 1873 AD, who published the results of his trip & his studies later in 1879, in the 4th volume in the Bulletin of the Caucasus department of the Royal Geographical Russian Society estimated Kirkuk's population as many as 12-50,000 people, & he emphasized that except 40 Christian families, the rest of the population were Kurds. As for The Turkmen & Arabs, they have not been already existed at the time. | |

Russian Girenak Joseph, who visited Kirkuk in Kurdistan as a part of his tour throu the 1870 - 1873 AD, who published the results of his trip & his studies later in 1879, in the 4th volume in the Bulletin of the Caucasus department of the Royal Geographical Russian Society estimated Kirkuk's population as many as 12-50,000 people, & he emphasized that except 40 Christian families, the rest of the population were Kurds. As for The Turkmen & Arabs, they have not been already existed at the time. | |
