Zakaria Barashi is the oldest Kurdish-Jewish man alive. He was born in 1900 in a village called Barasha in Kurdistan. He is 114 years old. He currently lives in Jerusalem. His father was the Hakham (Scholar&Wise) of the jews in Atroush area where 100 jews used to reside. Zakaria migrated to Israel in 1936. He is the Hakham and the spiritual leader of the kurdish-Jewish community in Israel. Zakaria has written 4 books about Torah and Judaism. He is a well known figure in Israel. Zakaria remembers most of the events that happened in Kurdistan. The journalist states that he wrote some Kurdish words on a paper that are not used or spoken anymore in Kurdistan.

Zakaria's father is called Eliyahu and his mother is called Semcha. Six of his brothers and sisters died young. Just him and two of his sisters are alive. His sisters are called Sarah and Rehana.

He's probably also the oldest Kurdish man in general. Do you think there are Kurdish males older than him? 114 is an incredible age

Few photos of Kurdish Jews from Israel on the ''Ez Kurdistani me'' facebook page.
Incredible, especially because those children have never even seen Kurdistan...60-70 years later and Kurdayeti still exists, they have kept their tradition, culture, heritage alive. Good job to their parents/grandparents :). Some Kurds in Europe, who return back to Kurdistan every year, don't even teach their own children Kurdish language, and want to raise them like Europeans... They can learn a lot from these true Kurds.

Yes, the Kurds who went to Israel in 1940's and 1950's started Kurdish communities.
Read the article on Rudaw, it's stated there as well.

More photos of this amazing Rabbi, 114 years old... One of the 10 oldest people alive in the world, and still in amazing shape for his age.

Both are Kurdish Jews, the reporter on the photo works for Rudaw I believe.

Here is video of Kurdish women making Yaprag in Kurdish village in Israel;

There are still huge Kurdish festivals in Israel (notice some of the people in traditional Kurdish clothing, even in Kurdistan this becomes rare).

Must see:

Old/rare Jewish production of a wedding in a Kurdish village in Israel.

Kurdish Jews, all in full traditional clothes, Kurdish songs, Kurdish customs.
If Israel wasn't stated in the video, you would think this is just some random Kurdish village somewhere in the heart of Kurdistan:

Biji Kurdistan u Israel :).

Kurdish party was on Israeli TV today, some pictures, hope to find the video soon :p
These are Kurdish Jews. They have been out of Kurdistan for 60-65 years, but are more Kurdish than 8-10% of Islamist Kurds who never even left Kurdistan...

If they did this in Muslim countries (Iran, Turkey, etc.) they would be arrested and sentenced to 15 years in prison/death.

1. Not Kurdish Jews
2. Kurdish Jash (there's a video pker2theend posted, a Kurd in Kurdish clothes swears to murder any Kurd (like a dog) who talks bad about his ''God'' khameini).
3. Persian Propaganda ''Look, we let the Kurds dance. We are so much better than Turkey to you!''

Video description:

''If it was in turkey, people instead of clapping and video tapping our dance would attack us and kill us. but in Iran people instead encourage us, clap for us, video tape us. two different worlds.''

Confirms point 3.

Fail.

Israel didn't exist in 1921. It was declared as a free Jewish state in 1948, after the WW2 holocaust.

Wow, why is this creature still not banned. His knowledge of History goes beyond trolling.

Not the Jews "genocided" Kurds, Armenians and Babylonians (back than Armenians didn't even exist. Babylonians were not genocided by Jews in fact the Assyrians enslaved the Jews and settled them in Babylon.

1921, Israel didn't even exist.

Your Avatar and your comments, you obviously sound and act like a Persian.
