After the 1991 Uprising, Saddam regrouped his army and struck back against the Peshmerga in the major cities in South-Kurdistan. Hundreds of thousands of Kurds fled their homes (rakerden), but some Peshmerga & citizens remained in/around the cities. My father and his friends were some of those Peshmerga's (they were guiding the citizens out of the city and held off the Arab pigs for a while). When Saddam struck back, there was an ''interim'' period. Mam Jalal & Saddam were negotiating about a deal to end the conflict. But my father and his friends almost ruined these ''fake'' peace talks. My father and some of his friends were stationed right outside Slemani. So, one night they decided to get drunk and enter the city of Slemani with their army truck. They were with 4 to 7 friends in total. So they basically entered Slemani as the only Peshmerga at that time. The city was almost empty (most Kurds had fled the city), and government forces were deployed EVERYWHERE; tanks, rocketlaunchers, tens of thousands of troops. They put a huge radio on top of their car and played Shivan Perwer's ''We Hatin Peshmerga'' song. There was a Kurdish flag in front of the car. One of my father's best friends was driving, and my father was riding ''shotgun''. So that's how they entered Slemani... Everyone thought that the Peshmerga had launched a new offensive, but it was just one truck with my father and some of his friends. They even shot at Iraqi soldiers and wounded some of them. They also assaulted (while DRUNK) an Iraqi checkpoint and collected all of their weapons. Within several minutes, entire Slemani was following their car and shouting 'PESHMERGA HATIN PESHMERGA HATIN, BIJI PESHMERGA'. This almost ended the peace talks because the Iraqi's thought that it was broken  |

yes he is that french guy, Fredric something that from some reason is also very popular among the bashuris and is a great freidn of teh Kurds. Being acivei n teh kurdish instutute in paris etc. and his wife was also there. |
