bullshit

When i was in Hewler in march i saw the poster that the coach is going to Amed for 30 dollars -if i am not mistaken - and i decided with my heval that next march we will go there for Newroz. I really hope i will, coz i want to see bakur and specially Amed. If i go there hopefully i will not end up in turkish prison. So as for now i dont have any pic yet, but maybe soon :D(i even dont dream to meet Leyla Zana there... -ok, i dream).

Not that big really. The area for the civil passengers is probably around the size of Slemani airport, and that's quite small. Don't know about the Military part, though it looks small too.

We went back to South-Kurdistan via Amed airport when there was not an airport in South-Kurdistan.
It is really small.

I am really happy that time is over, it was an entire adventure going back to SK at the time...
It was like this:

1. Take off in the Netherlands
2. Landing in Ankara
3. From Ankara to Amed by plane
4. We stayed 1 night in Amed
5. Next day a 5 to 7 hours drive from Amed to the Ibrahim Khalil border
6. Fucking prick Turks hold us up for hours to check everything
7. After entering South-Kurdistan, a 7 hours drive (roads were really bad at the time, it was pre-2003 or just a few years after 2003) to Slemani

I am happy we have 2 airports now, a third is being build and when we get Kirkuk back, we'll have 4 international airports in Kurdistan.

The airport in Slemani is a real blessing, we are in SK in just 5 hours now instead of a 2 day adventure :p.

That sounds alot like my last trip to South kurdistan. However we flew to Istanbul, where we had to wait for atleast 6 hours. Then we flew to Amed from there. And from Amed we took a taxi to the border of South Kurdistan, where my uncle arrived, with his brand new car *cool

I remember the taxi driver. We also drove with him on our way back to Amed's airport. He was proud of being a Kurdistani, despite living under tough turkish opression.
