Culture center - Kirkuk Status: Completed Cost: $14.5 Million Area: 2000 m2 start: 2007-2012 In 2007, 14 million and 400 thousand Iraqi dinars were allocated to the project. Three million ids were allocated for the project by the fifth cabinet (former Sulaimani administration) of the Kurdistan regional government (KRG). The Iraqi central government was not willing to pay for the project, but the KRG did. The remaining 11 million and 400 were allocated by the KRG’s Ministry of Planning (6th cabinet) (MoP) in two phases.   Back gate

ID & Passport Building - Kirkuk Client: Department of the nationality in Kirkuk Cost: 12 billion dinars Duration: 18 months The deputy governor of Kirkuk for Technical Affairs Ali Hammad told (Kirkuk Now), "Today we open bidding the project to establish the Department of Citizenship province of Kirkuk, and this project of strategic projects important in the city, and a total cost of (12) billion dinars. It is said that the current Citizenship is a small building and located close to a crowded shopping mall in the Atlas Road. The project is under the Governor of Kirkuk provision and its budget has been allocated from the petrodollar Kirkuk province gets for its oil.

Erbil's New Governorate Building site located on 60m Street near Parliament building The Kurdish Globe- Tuesday, 02 October 2012 The new building of Erbil governorate, which is now under construction, is located on the 60 meter ring road of Erbil, couple of hundred meters from the Parliament and the Ministerial Council buildings. The project is built on a 32,000 square meter of land and the budget of the project is IQD 36 billion (approximately US$ 30 million.) and will take 420 days. A Turkish construction company is implementing the project and it has already completed 30% of the project. The supervising engineer of the project says the building has 5 floors and consists of 200 rooms and a number of conference and meeting halls as well as a cafeteria. Nizar Omar, Director of Erbil's Parks, says after the old building is evacuated, it will be destroyed and the place will be turned into a park. The current building is located in the center of the city right next to the Erbil Citadel. The place is no longer very convenient for governorate due to the heavy traffic and lack of sufficient parking area for the thousands of people visiting the governorate on a daily basis.
