Unified Kurd forces from WK and SK? That's a great day for Kurdistan and a huge step forward!
But it's not as enjoyable to see as Peshmerga forces travelling through Turkey to Kobani xD

I don't like the roman salute. It gives a very negative image and people will mistake for with hezbollah.

That salute emanates strength. Humans are attracted to strength and repulsed by weakness, which includes letting outsiders set cultural norms for you.

As for Hezbollah, their Roman salute is not a well-known attribute of that group at all. Most people are very surprised when they see them do it. So our forces in Rojava will not be confused with Hezbollah for it. And the people who would confuse them with Hezbollah are by definition ignorant, losing support from them is not a loss.

Their body armors look far more practical and allowing for movement than the bulky armors worn by US and NATO soldiers.

That's because those are empty body armour gears. The plates are not inside :S

I don't know if there is a video footage but i didn't chose the pictures with the roman salute, otherwise they would think they are kurdish nazi forces haha. Or they would be confused with the gaybollah (Hezbollah) lol

There is nothing wrong with the salute. I think its ridiculous to get politically correct over something like this. This salute goes back before the days of the Roman Empire. The Chilean military use this salute to this day because their military was influenced by Germany and before them the Prussians. They don't think they need to change because of a few oversensitive liberals in America and no one but an idiot would ever mistake Kurds for Hezbollah.
Kurdish Wisdom of War Proverbs:

"Deal with your friends as if they will become your enemies tomorrow, and deal with your
enemies as if they will become your friends tomorrow."

"Those away from the battlefield boast about their swords."

"Those who do not go to war roar like a lion."

"Everything is pardoned the brave."

"Whoever digs a pit for his enemy should dig it his own size."

"A thousand friends are too few; one enemy is one too many."

then what's the purpose of wearing the gears if they serve no purpose?

Perhaps because it was a parade, they don't need to carry around their armor plates. And also because those are gears, they use it to carry their pouches (empty as well for parade purposes).

Lets hope they're as good at fighting and skills, as they are at posing. West-asian armies have some terrible marksman practices.
