Russia tonight escalating its military buildup in Syria Lou Dobbs reports
Russia tonight escalating its military buildup in Syria despite repeated complaints from the Obama administration. Four Russian attack helicopters have been spotted on the tarmac of the airport in Latakia, an airport that the Pentagon says is being converted into a Russian forward operating base. The arrival of the helicopter gunships follows the shipment of sophisticated battle tanks, armored personnel carriers and troops over recent weeks.

Fox News and a dialogue on the crisis in Syria and the dangers to America of the refugees that will be coming to the US.
On Wednesday, we brought you an in-depth look at the latest from Syria where Russia is apparently in a mad dash to send reinforcements to Assad and his depleted army at Latakia (or at least that’s the narrative being pushed rather hard by Western media). Meanwhile, France and Britain have apparently decided that the best way to stem the flow of refugees to Western Europe is to bomb the country from which the refugees are fleeing, which means that in relatively short order, the skies above Syria will be filled with French, British, American, Turkish, and Russian jets, a situation which quite clearly has the potential to cause an “accident.”

Haha, hypocrites crying bloody murder over the very thing that the West, allied Arab governments and Turkey have been doing for the last 4 years. I didn't see these pundits complain when "moderate" (and explicitly Islamist) rebels were being armed and trained to unleash their havoc in the region. Yet when Russia supplies their own ally they are responsible for 'aggravating' the situation. The self-righteousness of these people will never cease to amaze me.

Don't tell me I should be grateful for the campaign against Assad - yes, the civil war allowed us to liberate Rojava, but only through a power vacuum created when the local regime collapsed. It was never the intention of the rebels' supporters (the instigators of this conflict) for us to liberate ourselves - unless as 'Syrians' and under the 'inclusive' banner of the FSA, of course. And from the many Kurdish imbeciles waving FSA flags in 2011 it seems they almost got their way. Little did these imbeciles know that the FSA are up to their necks in anti-Kurdish ambitions and would occupy, subjugate and Arabize Rojava again in a heartbeat. From where we're standing, the rebels and the regime are all the same shizz, and have nothing to offer us because they are Arabs with Arab interests.

I've been saying all along that Rojava should arm itself with the heaviest weapons it can find and go into debt to do it. They must do it as if their lives depend on it (because it does) and do it as if they have no friends. There are countries out there (like the Ukraine) who are not aligned with anyone and are cash strapped. They have fleets of transport aircraft that can fly in the heaviest equipment. They should find a way and get it done.

This won't be done because of the war they are fighting now because when this war with ISIS is over they will need to be strong enough to prevent anyone including Turkey or Assad from bullying them into submission. When ISIS is defeated and it will be sooner or later Assad will treat the Kurds of Rojava like any other rebel group or the US won't always be there to keep Turkey in check. Only by being strong are they going to be able to negotiate and maintain some kind of autonomy when the shooting stops.

Regards,

Jim M
