Post pictures of Kurdish logos and symbols here. Fanmade art is also welcome. I'm always put in a position where I have to search for hours on google for good Kurdish symbols when I need one, so I thought it would be better to just make a topic about it here.
Here is one of my favorites, posted on here some months ago by Halo I believe;

I'd very much like to make a chart of sorts with all traditional symbols, the ones found on rugs, tattoos etc. If any of you could share those, that'd be cool.

Here's some Kurdish tattoos:

There is an over-use falcons and eagles on Kurdish emblems. It may look good and they may be beautiful animals, but they are used by almost every other country for their own emblems already. And there are other animals like snakes which have more significance in Kurdish folklore. We should be more distinct and original.

I don't find the KRG coat of arms particularly inspiring either. The sun is a peripheral element on the image, and it doesn't resemble a Kurdish sun. And the 'eagle of Saladin' meme comes from Arabs!

How about something like this as a Kurdish state emblem.

Posted Image

A rhombus-shaped diamond is a motif on Kurdish carpets/rugs that symbolises protection(like this one), which is an appropriate theme for a state emblem. In the middle there will be a contemporary Kurdish or Scythian dagger in place of the torch seen on the above ornament. Snakes are prominent in Kurdish folklore and they are villainous creatures with an aura of menace and evil(snakes grow from the shoulders of Zahhak), which is a side of us that we want our enemies to see so they may be intimidated or humbled. If you think this is strange or counterintuitive, Ey Reqib (would prefer it to be changed to 'Ey Dijmin') is also addressed to the enemy and full of defiance toward him, so my suggestion is only more true to the Kurdish spirit. Additionally a Kurdish sun could be placed in the center.

If there should be a creature that symbolises Kurds, I believe there is none more fitting and perfect than the serpent. Kurds are not powerful and formidable at the moment(as lions and falcons/eagles are), but our bite is very potent and lethal to anyone who touches us. We also survive on our own in a world full of threats. This is what a snake is.

Not really, you can find a bit of information on the source site:
http://www.vanishingtattoo.com/north_africa_tattoo_history_4.htm
And this one:

Just now I also found these:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coat_of_arms_of_the_Kurdistan_Regional_Government

"the eagle itself was the emblem of the ancient Median Empire"

So this is normal to overuse it to me, furthermore, hawk/eagle is a typical mountain animal. But it's true that it looks like "Saladin Eagle", whom as everybody here knows was a Kurd, fought more for islam than he never did for the Kurds, so we shouldn't use it, and prefer another eagle/hawk kind drawing, because it's more secular and Kurdish.

Maybe more like that :

I really like the Mitanni Royal Seal. I don't like the current KRG eagle thing. We should be more unique.

wheat is also shown on the PDKI flag, I'd say wheat(first cultivated in Kurdistan) and the snake are two great Kurdish symbols.
