The Ministry Of Peshmerga Holds Weekly Meeting With The US-Led Coalition

Monday, March 7, with the supervision of the acting minister of Peshmerga Karim Sinjari, the deputy of the Ministry of Peshmerga Anwar Haji Osman, the Secretary General of the Peshmerga Ministry the Lieutenant General Jabar Yawar and the chief of staff Lieutenant General Jamal Muhammad alongside and numerous senior officers and consultants of the US-led coalition, the weekly meeting of the US-led coalition against the ISIS was held.

Karim Sinjari sent his and Peshmerga’s condolence to the martyr’s family and the Canadian populace on anniversary of passing one year on martyring Andro Joseph, he also stated that “Martyring of that Canadian soldier in the Kurdistan Region proves that we are at one countering front against the terrorists.”

During the meeting, The Joint Operation Room referred to the outlines of the ground and aerial raids in all of the of axes of countering terrorism, it was discussed in the report that the refugees are returning to their own areas and more than 3 thousand refugees have come back to their authentic areas after restoring more calmness to the liberated territories.

In another section of the convention, all of the departments within the Ministry of Peshmerga presented their reports, which consisted of more caring on the military trainings and the demands on the military requirements regarding weapons and ammunition for the Peshmerga forces, more notably, the gears of Chemical Weapon Protection.

At the end of the meeting, The US-led coalition cooperation and support to the Peshmerga forces were emphasized.

Russian Girenak Joseph, who visited Kirkuk in Kurdistan as a part of his tour throu the 1870 - 1873 AD, who published the results of his trip & his studies later in 1879, in the 4th volume in the Bulletin of the Caucasus department of the Royal Geographical Russian Society estimated Kirkuk's population as many as 12-50,000 people, & he emphasized that except 40 Christian families, the rest of the population were Kurds. As for The Turkmen & Arabs, they have not been already existed at the time.
