Tunisia... Kurds attends World Social Forum

A delegation from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan attended the World Social Forum in Tunisia which was inaugurated on 26.3.2013, the delegation included both Nermin Othman and Dr. Joan Ihsan, leading members in the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and Shaxwan Hrke and Kosrat Taha Mohammed, Members of the Association of Kurdistan students and a number of Party’s cadres and civil society activists in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, where more than 50 thousand people participated in the forum.

Russian Girenak Joseph, who visited Kirkuk in Kurdistan as a part of his tour through the 1870 - 1873 AD, who published the results of his trip and his studies later in 1879, in the fourth volume in the Bulletin of the Caucasus department of the Royal Geographical Russian Society estimated Kirkuk's population as many as 12-50 thousand people, and he emphasized that except 40 Christian families, the rest of the population were Kurds. As for The Turkmen and Arabs, they have not been already existed at the time.
