Kurdish Youth Festival

Posted Image

For the fourth year in a row, the Kurdish Youth Festival is bringing together a diverse group of people from all over the United States for a three-day long event filled with culture, education, and social activities. Of course, it would not be a Kurdish festival without a big party to practice your helperke skills.

This year, the Kurdish Youth Festival will have round-table discussion in topics ranging from Kurdish women’s social challenges in the US, the message and effects of Miss Kurdistan, and the status of the so called “Kurdish-American leadership and the Kurdish vote”
The Kurdish Youth Festival has become the most anticipated event among the Kurdish youth and this year’s event was as spectacular as ever. Guests from all over the United States, Canada, and across the world attended the Fourth Annual Kurdish Youth Festival dubbed “#4KYF”, which took place at the luxurious Hotel Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines, in San Diego, CA on January 4th to 6th, 2013. The event yet again brought together young Kurds as well as non-Kurds from a variety of backgrounds, created a great learning experience for all, helped new friendships develop, and renewed a sense of community among the Kurds. Hundreds attended the festival while many others were able to participate in the event online through the event’s live stream as well as via Twitter and Facebook.

The annual Kurdish Youth Festival is a volunteer run non-for-profit non affiliated organization and is only able to operate through sponsorships from organizations and individual donations. The financial commitment of sponsors makes every one of the above events possible. Every dollar invested in the Kurdish Youth Festival is a dollar invested in the future of the Kurdish Youth. The committee is dedicated to providing quality programming with minimal administrative costs. You are invited to make a direct difference in strengthening the Kurdish identity of youth in Diaspora.
