She looks nice, but she isn't distinctly Kurdish looking IMO. Could be from Southeast Europe or something.

I think she actually does look Kurdish. I know some Kurds who have a bit of a similar face / facial features.

But it might be more a typical ''Southern / Eastern Kurdistani'' ?

Maybe Kurds in NK/WK look a bit different? Don't know.

My mother was watching this show today, she said 11 were for Slemani & 2 from Duhok.
So not really a miss Kurdistan. it should've been more diverse.

You probably mean something different by "Kurdish looks". Of course she 'looks Kurdish' in that her features are normal for our country, but I think she doesn't have the features by which many Kurds may be distinguished from other ethnic groups, which is something different. As I said she could come from places like Greece or Bulgaria by her looks alone.

On the other hand I see it as a very positive thing that they didn't choose an anorexic woman to win the contest, like beauty contest panels always do.

Why is it they all look European? Seriously none of them look distinctly Kurdish. Some of them look like borderline Caucasians, and souther-eastern European.

I find their features too gracile to pass in EK.

The wonders of makeup i suppose.

Morethan 60 contestants participated from all the cities. But only 12 went through to the final.

But she doesn't look Kurdish at all.
Who looks Kurdish then? If she's born into a Kurdish family she's Kurdish... I don't understand how some of you say "oh they look more European they shouldn't win" what kind of reasoning is that? and based on what logic is that fair? Do you think there is a general Kurdish look? So, if an intelligent person doesn't look Kurdish, they shouldn't go into Kurdish politics? This was a beauty show, that girl was by far the best looking there, and I personally think she was robbed of the title. Besides, people never think I'm Kurdish, I don't understand why, but whatever.

I don't understand it either. Azamat said the same thing, but at the same time he posts picture of a Kurdish girl who looks MUCH MORE Armenian than Kurdish in a different topic. This just looks like plain South-Kurdistan bashing, typically by the same members who are known for bashing South-Kurdistan. They just say ''they don't look Kurdish''. What the hell man.

I'm saying she looks fake! Her hair is probably dyed too. I don't understand why some Kurds like the idea of looking like Europeans, is it that hard to just be proud of who you are? We Kurds are not White, that's all i'm saying, let's not start acting like Persians now, we are worth more than that.

That's because Europeans generally expect us to look like Indians, Pakistanis or other brown-skinned groups. You look very Kurdish.

Not really, half of my Family look completely European too (White skin, blue/green eyes, sometimes purely blonde hair etc.) but we do not consider ourselves to be White. Our genetics clearly tells us, we are not white, and i have no idea why some Kurds look different despite what their genetics say.

JJmuneer, perhaps you can explain?

Green eyes are so beautiful! I saw in pictures Kurds with blond hair and green eyes.
