YPG/YPJ fighters: Kobanê is the graveyard of ISIS gangs Fighters of the YPG/YPJ told ANF about the most recent savage massacre committed by militants of the so-called Islamic State against the civilians in Kobanê town of West Kurdistan, Rojava. Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 10:30 AM KOBANÊ - ANF - SEDAT SUR Fighters of the YPG/YPJ (People's/Women's Defense Units) told ANF about the most recent savage massacre committed by militants of the so-called Islamic State against the civilians in Kobanê town of West Kurdistan, Rojava. Nubihar Yılmaz Qamişlo, Ronas Cemal and Baz Kobanê, who took part in the operation to cleanse the town of gang members for three days, summarized their stance with the following words; “The determination shared by everyone in the town was to not to sleep or eat until no single gang member was left in the town. We had one single purpose; to make Kobanê a graveyard for the gangs.” Nubihar Yılmaz Qamişlo: The massacre of civilians was a traumatic incident and a great pain. All we wanted was to bring the gangs to account and to avenge our people. The gangs knew what sacrifice was made by YPG/YPJ to protect the people, and how much importance they attached to them. They didn't target the military force, their aim was to massacre civilians. Within a very short time of 10-15 minutes, we started an operation throughout the town. The massacred civilians we saw out on the streets grew our anger more and more. WE ACTED CAUTIOUSLY FOR THE CIVILIANS It is quite difficult to express those moments, words will fail to describe it. Hundreds of comrades of ours fell a martyr protecting the people. At that moment, we were ready and determined to do the same thing. We had one single purpose; to make Kobanê a graveyard for the gangs, once again. This is indeed what we did. We have once again made Kobanê a graveyard for ISIS. I participated the operation in Mishtenur Hospital. We acted cautiously for the safety of the civilians. What hurt us the most was that gangs especially targeted and held civilian locations; hospitals and schools. We were deeply hurt by the use of our people as human shields, which forced us to keep our anger and run the operation in a controlled manner. We would easily be able to destroy all the gangs but our purpose was to rescue the civilians. This is why the operation lasted three days, while it could have taken only one day. On the second day of the operation, we rescued the civilians in Mishtenur School, after which we initiated an annihilation offensive against the gangs. During the operation, I witnessed a self-sacrificing resistance of our comrades none of whom ate or slept over the course of the offensive until no single member of the gangs was left. All the comrades were fairly competed to join the operation. None of them left their emplacement when there was a need for a change of the forces. YPG/YPJ fighters resisted with dedication for three days. I got wounded in the third day of the operation which had already succeeded when my comrades took me out of there. WE WILL NOT ANOTHER ATTACK BY THE GANGS Baz Kobanê: When we advanced to the town center in the morning of the ISIS attack, local inhabitants told us that gang members dressed in FSA uniforms had massacred civilians. Then we moved to the area of the Baath School before taking an armored vehicle to move further. In the meantime, we saw dozens of people massacred b the gangs. The feeling was a deep one, as was the pain and anger I felt inside. As we walked, I saw the dead body of a childhood friend lying on the ground, his throat had been slit. We saw once again how cruel and inhumane the gangs were. The clashes that followed the attack witnessed a sample of great self-sacrifice and dedication. We were never demoralized but it deeply hurt us to see our friends having suffered a savage massacre. The people of Kobanê should know that we will never allow such an attack to target them once again. We will take all the necessary measures. GANGS WERE DRESSED IN YPG UNIFORMS Ronas Cemal: I was awake when the attack first began. I went out at once on hearing gunshots, and acted with caution. The gangs were dressed in YPG uniforms. We immediately started intervening them and then went to the hospital area to ensure the safety of the civilians brought there. We saw civilians killed or wounded. At that moment, I wanted to head for the operation area at once but I had to stay there because we needed to defend that area too considering a probable infiltration of the gangs into there. There was a small baby girl whose parents had been massacred in the attack. She was crying, which affected me deeply. From now on, we will continue doing whatever is necessary for the safety of our people. http://en.firatajans.com/kurdistan/ypg-ypj-fighters-kobane-is-the-graveyard-of-isis-gangs |

Guys Putin just threatens Kerdogan saying "if you enter Syria and its Kurdish region you won't be able to get out and Kurds won't be facing you alone we too will be there, you should not do things bigger than you can, and where were you all this 1.5 years while Isis was beheading and committing crimes? now that Kurds have cleared isis of those areas you want to attack Kurds?". http://radionawxo.org/kurdi/index.php/all-news/item/21276-2015-06-30-09-45-37.html I'm starting to like him, better than Obama... |

He supports Assad and Iran. Our enemies. He is using the words "Kurds" because our cause is noble, he cannot say, don't attack Syria, we support Assad. In any case, we should play the game, and do whatever it takes to stop the Turks from meddling in Rojava. |

Its safe to say Obama is turk lover and he does not like the Kurds, only due to the pressure from the Republicans are we seeing any air strikes or meetings. Obama administration are a bunch of clowns in suits, Republicans are the ones who support arming us. It seems too convenient Putin has said that, I don't think its true but Russia's involvement would be inevitable if Poultry tirkiye decides to invade Rojava. I doubt the article has any truth to it.

Well, it's obvious Putin said this to defend Assad. He doesn't care about Kurds. But as long as we we benefit from that (by having a protective "russian shield" against the filthy Turks) it's good for us. At least Putin has the balls to say the things he say. Obama the little p***y is the weakest US president I've ever seen. The turkish media and Kerdogan keep insulting him everytime , trying to force their anti-kurd politics over the US and Obongo, president of the strongest country in the world doesn't have the balls to say anything against little kurd-hating turkish pussies. I don't even rule out that Obongo agrees with the Hitlerdogan and let him attack Rojava. Today turkish occupation army shelled Qandil. The f**king Turks want the war. No doubt about that. |

Looks like Putin threats made Kerdo think twice Turkey Vows Retaliation, But Rejects Syria Intervention Turkey has warned it will retaliate if it feels its security is threatened by either Islamic extremists or Syrian Kurds along its border, but it appears for now Ankara is not contemplating a broader go-it-alone intervention to establish a buffer zone inside Syria as some Turkish press reports suggested. After a meeting of senior officials Monday, Turkey’s top security body expressed its concerns about “demographic changes” underway in war-torn northern Syria favoring Kurds over Arabs, and also about possible terror attacks by Islamic extremists. But the statement offered no indication that Turkey is about to mount a broad unilateral military intervention to carve out a buffer zone. Some opposition politicians accused the Islamist government, which lost its parliamentary majority in elections this month, of stoking war fever to strengthen its hand in coalition negotiations or to improve its standing in a possible re-run election, if no coalition government can be formed. Opposing a Kurdish state For several days there has been intense speculation that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is planning a military intervention in northern Syria, mainly to prevent Syrian Kurds from forming their own state. The dominant Syrian Kurdish party, the Democratic Union Party, or PYD, is an offshoot of Turkey’s outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party, the PKK, which has battled Ankara for three-decades for self-rule. Turkey considers the PYD a terrorist organization. Last week, following significant battlefield gains over the Islamic extremists by Kurdish-led forces, including the capture from Islamic State militants of the Arab border town of Tal Abayad, Erdogan vowed Turkey would never accept a Kurdish state. “I am saying this to the whole world: We will never allow the establishment of a state on our southern border in the north of Syria,” he said. “We will continue our fight in that respect, whatever the cost may be.” For days, pro-government newspapers have reported a military intervention is in the offing, saying the goal would be to establish a buffer zone 100 kilometers long and 30 kilometers deep using 18,000 soldiers. Opposition politicians warned an intervention was hours away. On Thursday and Friday, VOA traveled along much of the Turkish side of border from Akcakale to Karkamis, but could see no signs of a military buildup of the scale that would be needed to mount an intervention. In its statement Monday, the country’s national security council said: “The developments taking place in our southern neighbor, Syria, have been assessed in detail and additional measures taken along our border have been reviewed. Concerns over terror acts targeting the civilians in the region, as well as attempts for demographic change have been voiced.” Counteracting speculation Shortly before the council met, Turkey’s prime minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, also appeared eager to counteract speculation about Turkish intervention in Syria. ”If we ever reach a conclusion that Turkey's borders are under any threat, our country is ready for any contingency and it has done everything necessary for that readiness.” Davutoglu said in Istanbul. Turkey has long urged Washington and other partners in the U.S.-led anti-IS coalition to establish a no-fly-zone and safe haven in northern Syria. Turkish leaders have argued a buffer zone could be used to shelter war refugees on Syrian soil, making it unnecessary for them to cross into Turkey for sanctuary. Turkey is hosting up to two million Syrian refugees, by some estimates, and the government says the refugees have cost Turkey about $6 billion. But the Kurdish advances in northern Syria have alarmed the government the most in recent weeks, often more than the danger of IS. Last week, Kurdish officials accused Ankara of allowing Islamic extremists to cross the border from Turkey to mount a surprise assault on the Syrian Kurdish border town of Kobani. Turkish officials vehemently deny the allegation. In capturing Tal Abayad from Islamic State militants last week, Kurdish forces connected two pieces of territory they have long controlled in northern Syria along the Turkish border. Turkish officials claim the Syrian Kurds are eager to engineer a demographic change along the border in their favor. The leader of one of Turkey’s main opposition parties, the Republican People’s Party (CHP), Kemal Kilicdaroglu, accused President Erdogan and his ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) on Tuesday of “turning foreign policy into an element of domestic politics.” He says he still fears the AKP is considering an intervention. He said “I am warning them not to drag Turkey into an adventure; it would have a high cost. And the people on the street, not the politicians, would foot such a bill,” he said in an interview with Turkey Hurriyet newspaper. On Monday, U.S. State Department spokesman Mark Toner said Washington has no “solid evidence” any of Syria’s neighbors are considering trying to establish buffer zones in Syria. He said there would be "serious logistical challenges" in trying to establish such zones. http://m.voanews.com/a/turkey-syria-border-kurds-buffer-zone/2842832.html |

I have told you guys from the beginning that these threats are empty. It is merely to calm the paranoid turkish people. The quicker you realize this, the better you will sleep at night not bothering your head with empty turkish facist threats. They will not invade, however, this does not mean they will not do other things that will harm Rojava. ie. letting ISIS units take over tanks and artillery that ''suddenly just happened to slip over the border'' or some shizz like that. It would not surprise me if one day turkish soldiers ''suddenly'' decide to desert the army and take with them some heavy weapons. |

there s a lot of turkish propaganda, it seems that turkish media channels are hyping up every attack of the islamic state in kurdish areas, news that do not match the reality, second i am curious how zhey manage to attack in force towns and cities that are dozens of milies away from the front, both the kobane and the gire spi attack share the border with turkey, that must made the media curious.
